Music video with Wyndow.
When devising the video for Pulling On A String, I wanted to connect with the sense of the songs intangible longing and a feeling of discovery. A Lot of the shots within the video consist of images cut out from 1960’s children’s educational resources, within the images are roughly cut windows that show you a space behind the image that is glowing and revolving. In the foreground there is something known and understood but behind the image is something less comprehensible and unclear.
By adding the song lyrics as subtitles over the image it builds a stronger link between the visuals and what is written beneath them ,and like the found images, it weaves and sways between its literal and opaque connections.
